CERTIFICATE
IN TEACHING BUSINESS ENGLISH
The course
consists of three study units plus assorted readings [supplied].
Assessment is continuous and the course is graded A-D. There
are nine assignments to complete [three for each unit].
Unit
One deals
with how Business English differs from other forms of EFL and
analyses the different kinds of students who take BE courses.
It also looks at setting objectives, measuring performance and
how to assemble the information you need to compile a BE course
which meets student requirement.
Unit
Two shows
how to determine the content of a course and examines activities
and materials.
Unit
Three
focuses primarily on activities, materials and resources. It
also asks at what schools are looking for in BE teachers.
Participants
on this course are assigned a personal tutor to deal with queries
and assess assignments.
The course costs £160/$320.
The Certificate in Business English, which will be
sent to you by post, is similar in appearance to the Certificate
in TEFL below.
